It focuses on the following issues:
What strategies are schools currently using to adopt a competence-based approach, and what obstacles are they encountering? Which teaching and learning methods do students most appreciate engaging in when developing their competences, and how are they assessed? Do parents consider this to be a relevant and useful approach to improve their children’s learning?
KeyCoNet’s public consultation will gather feedback from teachers, head teachers, parents, students and other education stakeholders on competence-based teaching and learning in schools. This public feedback will complement the expert feedback being collected in parallel, and will be used to further improve and qualify the network’s recommendations for policy and practice, due to be published at the end of October 2014, and presented at KeyCoNet’s final conference in Brussels.
